Prachin Buri MP, Kiatikorn Parkpiansilpa, announced his resignation from the Democrat Party, citing his discontent with the prime minister, saying that the PM is unjustly in office. Kiatikorn also asked the prime minister to return a sacred object he'd given him earlier.

Prachin Buri MP Kiatikorn Parkpiansilpa announced his resignation from his MP post and the Democrat Party at Parliament today. He claims that he has asked the former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinnawat, to order the leaders of the red shirt group to postpone the demonstration in order to avoid possible bloodshed.

Kiatikorn is a first-term MP as a Democrat party member after he moved from the Machima Tipataya Party after it was dissolved in the Constitutional Court ruling. However he made a speech at a red shirt demonstration before he decided to resign. The number of number of Democrat Party MPs is now at 171 out of the total of 472 MPs. - Thai-ASEAN News Network
