Axsys Technologies Inc. ("Axsys"), is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision surveillance cameras and optical solutions for defense, aerospace, homeland security and high-performance commercial applications.
Aria purchased five (5) V14 MSII fully-digital, four-axis stabilized, multi-sensor cameras that provide exceptional aerial surveillance and detection capabilities for law enforcement, military and public utilities applications. The systems purchased by Aria combine the latest in IR and high-definition EO sensor technology. The V14 MSII's EO and IR sensor technology, superior stabilization, unmatched continuous zoom capabilities and multiple payload options, delivers high-performance, flawlessly precise images ideal for the Aria surveillance solution to the Royal Thai Army (RTA).
The RTA selected Aria International Incorporated and Axsys after a number of real-time flight demonstrations were conducted in December 2008 in the United States. Aria International Incorporated previously announced the RTA contract on April 30, 2009. Under this contract, Aria International is responsible for integrating all system components and delivering a complete turn-key solution, conducting initial operations and continuing maintenance tasks as well as providing the training to the RTA personnel on the use of the equipment.
The RTA surveillance and communications solution consists of a manned airship equipped with special state-of-the-art imaging and communications systems and upgrades to existing command and control facilities to allow for the receipt of real-time surveillance data. The airship will be accompanied with a state-of-the-art Mobile Command and Control Vehicle. Aria International will train Royal Thai Army personnel to pilot and effectively utilize and maintain the deployed surveillance and communications systems. In addition to the Axsys cameras on the airship, Aria International will also install and integrate the Axsys V14 MSII high-definition day/night camera systems on select Royal Thai Army helicopters. President of Aria International, Mr. Mike "Bing" Crosby, stated: "the employment of the Axsys stabilized multi-sensor cameras in a manned airship and in RTA helicopters provides the Royal Thai Army another system with the necessary capabilities it requires to counter the increased insurgent activity and threats of crime, drug trafficking and terrorism."

ARIA INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS INC ("ARAH-L") - Aria International Inc Meets Major Royal Thai Army Contract - Milestone Aria International Incorporated, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Aria International Holdings, Inc. ("Aria"), a company focused on providing specialized surveillance and communications solutions to a global customer base is pleased to announce today that it has met a major milestone under its contract with Kingdom of Thailand, Royal Thai Army ("RTA"). The milestone is the formal inspection and acceptance of all equipment to be delivered to the RTA prior to shipping the system components from the U.S. to Thailand.
Aria International Incorporated previously announced the contract award on April 30, 2009 to provide surveillance and communications solutions and services to the RTA. The RTA agreed to purchase certain surveillance and communications equipment from Aria along with training, operations, and maintenance services for an aggregate purchase price of $9.7 million. A major milestone of the contract requires the Company to configure equipment in the U.S. and deliver the hardware to Thailand whereby Aria receives a percentage of the total contract award. Under terms of the contract Aria has accomplished a major milestone to prepare for delivery certain surveillance system equipment which releases approximately 70% of the contract value. Aria will also provide the RTA with certain ancillary services including installation, training and the construction of an airship hangar. The terms of the contract require complete delivery and integration of the surveillance system within 120-days of contract award.
The Royal Thai Army selected Aria International Incorporated after a number of real-time demonstrations of the system that were conducted in the United States. The RTA system is composed of select airborne assets, imagery from high-definition cameras and down linked communication to a mobile command platform and upgrades to an existing command and control facility that are targeted to meet the requirements for this special procurement. Under this contract, Aria is responsible for integrating all system components and delivering a complete turn-key solution, conducting initial operations and continuing maintenance tasks as well as providing the training to the RTA personnel.
